at Sea: with Nina Simone

.
I would like a man now who is rich, and who can give me a boat - a sailboat. I want to own it and let him pay for it.
My first love is the sea and water, not music.
Music is second. Nina Simone

  2. I know this painting very well. It hung over the fireplace in the President's House at Yale University. I once spent a week staying in the house as a guest when I was a teenager, and I enjoyed spending time during that visit alone in the living room where the picture hung, gazing at it. I was obsessed with it, and I loved it. How nice it is to see it on your wonderful blog, Dear LA. Reggie

  3. Or how to represent the abscence with a ghostly presence of light.

  4. And I'll take a yacht from a rich Russian oligarch.

  5. Thank you--I needed to be reminded of this. Also, I would like a very rich, but very deep and intelligent man. All others, need not apply. (Well, depending upon how deep and creative he is, a little less than very rich is OK)

  6. Think, in the earlier days Nina had a much proper opinion about men and what they can deliver. Her music and poetry was much better then. :)
    Greetings & Compliments from Bavaria.
