One somehow understands why the Royal Navy ensign is so out of scale to fly from this diplomatic craft. It is a brilliant quartering of the field with a second Cross of St George, tending to suggest an icon which speaks only with itself. Another stimulating gaze upon history in LA.

My book HOW THEY DECORATED, for Rizzoli, was published in April of 2017. I have been an interior designer for over 30 years & have an abiding passion for the original, & history.
