I think she was trying to have a Sharon Stone - gap t-shirt at the Oscars moment, she didn't quite do it. I actually don't mind the outfit, just wish she had done something with her hair, bangs in the face and basic curly waves - yuck.

Not to disagree with everyone -but I love this look. casual but dressy -the blue looks magnificent with her hair and skin tone. The casually knotted pearls are a bit messy but fun. She can do no wrong in my eyes after a few of her movies which I really love.
I am on board as I say for the most part, Heck maybe I would be 100% it the skirt were a kakhi (ok everyone can gag now) but that would have been the privileged waspy look that could have been risky and perfect. Pearls should definitely be hers-a trademark for her of sorts and she is a tireless worker for UNICEF-an organization her grandfather was head of for many years- I can't separate one's Passion from their Fashion.
Like he look, love her, but think she was too casual for even the GG's. I have to appreciate her boldness though. I commend her for not having her breasts hanging out for public display.
She is not afraid to do her own thing... And her own thing she did do. A better necklace and a hairbrush would have been a small improvement. She must have been pleased not to have to wear a soaking gown all night long.
I go with the ones who say this works. But then, she's a Brearley gal and can carry something like this off. I've always been a fan of her upper-crusty look. She needs to lay off the face plumpers, though.
Such varied opinions, and I'm not surprised-My idea-it may sound terrible but it would be as stated-See Carolina Herrera post. Change the shirt-to white or the skirt to a kakhi(yuck?) or brown.
RDarling, I think that plumping is called a little more weight-It can happen.
I like the tanned, bleached, California-girl thing she has going on from her neck up, but I really really dislike that blue shirt, and the way it bunches awkwardly (maybe a skirt that sits at the waist would have been better?). Also, is anyone else bothered by her belt? It's extremely distracting for me.
Too casual for the occassion.

ReplyDeleteTea Leoni is a Hollywood non Hollywood type. If the blouse had been a great classic white it would have worked for her.

ReplyDeleteTellher- How true! Love that take on it. & Boldness.
ReplyDeleteJust LOVE it! Maybe she was trying this or that- but I do love the casual look of this. I think she pulled it off quite nicely.
ReplyDeleteNormally I'd leave this sort of thing to the fashion
ReplyDeletepolice on E! but must admit, she looks rather like
a prison matron or traffic cop in that getup.

ReplyDeleteSee, this is totally my kind of outfit. I love it! Very Katherine Hepburn in its approach.
