the Turban III

.
when can you don a turban?

is it for women of a certain age-or older- only?

Lenor Scherrer thinks otherwise-

  1. Chic, chic, chic, I remember seeing pics like this in the 1970's in my moms magazines and what women would wear out and about. The shaggy bob, scarf and sunglasses. I luv it and why not wear it black tie too?
Thanks for conjuring up old memories,
    L.

  2. Each time, when my hairdresser has washed my locks and pointed me toward his chair, I take the towel an twist my hair up into a turban whilst waiting on him to return. He always says, "How DID you DO that?".
I never try it at home. I probably should.

  3. I wear one, albeit terry cloth, every time I get out of the shower and leave it on as long as possible so my hair doesn't take as long to blow dry!

Never have I worn a glamorous version!

  5. Oh, I love them but it's risky business in Italy - not considered, unfortunately, a chic thing to wear

  6. I love turbans. I really want a glamorous one. I've been looking for ages but only seem to able to find them in a cheap velour. If anyone knows where I can get a decent one, please do let me know. Thank you xx

  7. "Women of a certain age" PSH! I am a firm believer that turbans are for everyone! (The Olsen babies think so too.) Makes me think of Gloria Swanson in Sunset Boulevard, but that's a good thing, because Norma was one stylish lady. She wore it well.
