Completely wonderful evocations of this "girl," although I haven't the bandwidth to frame them with the musical comment. I notice, as I write, the first remark begins with the same modifier. It's very spontaneous, with her; how tiresome it must have been to her to accustom herself to our helplessness. But it has not entirely been our fault. :)
wasn't she gorgeous, my favorite is the dafs-just so of the moment almost 60 years ago-yet none can touch her today- she was 21 years old-in 53, how ancient she must seem to the 14 year olds that saunter around today. How perfect with sophistication & yes I must say chic (and I don't always) pgt
The daffodil picture is almost exactly like the shot of Audrey Hepburn in the flower market in Paris in Funny Face. One of my favorite movies of all time.
SO SO beautiful - and elegant. And feminine but not sweet. Just love them. And also love Esperanza Splading - learned about her from Barbara at Dog Eared Pages a while back.
Perfect soundtrack for the most gorgeous Suzy Parker springtime photographs. The shape of hat no. 1 is so good. And, the pink of hat no. 2 is so yummy. Happy spring! ; )
completely fabulous.
