honor Christmas

.
there is nothing more disheartening than the over-ness of Christmas.
pulling down the decorations-first-rushing the season & then tossing it to the curb for pick up.
with that in mind, celebrate a day longer than you planned-
hold off a day on dissing Christmas-
& to that end, today I wish you-

“I will honor Christmas in my heart, and try to keep it all year.” Charles Dickens

  1. Christmas isn't over. It lasts through Caroline's birthday (January 13th). Merry Christmas. Curtis

  3. Lovely sentiment and I feel the same about you.
As to obliterating Christmas, it used to depress me no end, but then we decided to leave everything up till epiphany... the 6th. That helps. By then, we're ready for a new start!

  5. Merry Christmas to you, Gaye. What a lovely sentiment. Just the perk needed as things are winding down. It's been a beautiful holiday.

  6. Oh, I so agree with you. I mean, how can one already de-Christmas-ize? I guess that's why the Dutch celebrate Christmas for three days!

  7. I celebrate through twelfth night. This is my favorite time during the holidays, when people finally relax-if they ever will. Hope each of you is doing the very thing. pgt
