THE CHANDELIER!! But would I exchange my naughty and beloved Jones for the most desirable chandelier in the entire world? Not even a second thought--dogs win out every time. Thanks for making me laugh and cry. Mary
It is particularly interesting to see the way that small lights could be incorporated into the form of the chandelier so real candles could be used in the arms. (I always try to achieve that, if possible).
Wanted to let you know that I sent this terrific post along to Matthew Patrick Smyth who did the room with Gloria for the Kips Bay house...and he just forwarded it on to her. She will love it!
Jane, delightful! I briefly met MPS at David's in November. I am a longstanding admirer of Ms Vanderbilt-it pleases me to know she would approve. I loved the room when they teamed up to do it and wrote about it then. pgt
