TINA CHOW...such a beautiful shade of BEAUTY!!! Thru the Prism the shade of Lavender is Spiritual Healing, Purification and Tranquility...all that Tina embodied towards the end of her Life.
The color was Warhols' tribute to a dear friend who he guided to the crystals - she in turn left us the tiny output of her Spirit to promote ONE to an awareness of Spiritual Health thru her Crystal and Bamboo jewelry collection.
Great choices in imagery by Warhol...oddly all were destined to embody tragedy to some degree!
Swan, I need to do a post on her, I have been looking about for some of the interiors she inhabited to do it though. I think it is specific then based on what you say here that he used this color for the eyes-the windows to the soul. In his use of lavender often it was to juxtapose the color with tragic and disastrous images- the electric chair, knives. pgt
Dear Gaye, the Tina Chow is wonderful. I have a Victorian button tub chair which needs recovering and after all your lavender posts I think that has to be the colour! Have a wonderful weekend xx
Your lavender kick is making me quite giddy with happiness.
