Marquess of Queensbury Rules



In response to a delightful design challenge by maison21, and I can't resist a challenge or the chance to work with that much loved fantasy client. They let you do, they praise your every choice, they adore it; You are invincible!
the Maison21 DESIGN CHALLENGE: pick two disparate elements from the post and combine them with choice from your own latest decorating obsessions (whatever they may be)

The Grand Dining Room

(with very good moldings and a fireplace with formal Georgian Mantle, of course)

FLOORS: Ceruse floor (from Maison21's List)

WALLS: 2 views of the Walls-from Valtekz- Vernice-Black-a polyurethane/PVC wall application (oh yeah) Those good moldings in picked out in Mount Vernon colors- Cobbled Path and New Room White

over the Mantle: A Large Oil Painting ( circa 1790 ) of Charles Emmanuel (1770-1800)

Chandelier:A circa 1900, large patinated bronze Dutch chandelier with original patina. 10 arms, with smoke bells on top of arms (1st dibs)

  5. Christian,Thank you- I adore all these pieces- to do such a room. Any one of the pieces- of course I would love to own- perhaps my favorite, this will be hard- but I will quickly say that Portrait, and if sold- the Spanish frame, of course those Versace estate chairs aren't bad-not bad at all.GT
