LOVE this comparison!
excellent. Love that Charles II knew who to undress. The orange seller. Great dresses, following the Vivien Westwood historical digital print thing. But it works.
He also knew how to pick painters. The Burberry Prosum dresses are terrific, both modern and elegant. I'd guess they'll do well.
Soodie- thanks. all things come back by way of fashion. I for one am in shock after looking through a new sept mag. the 80's? what? I was a grown up then- and I can not fathom what would be of much value to revisit- now with Chas II- another story. g.
Rose, thank you. Rule Britannia! I have got to watch the !'s. Vivien Westwood is the original (in a good way) Burberry has stepped it up- there is just something about the Brits.
Balsam- I love the court costume- and fascinating to that it was all about power. The engraving of this period are some of my favorites. G.
I tiny bit of spice in the day - I love it. Oh, yes... you said something about clothes. Sorry, I was lost at the undressing mention... :)
Blushing? indeed. g.
