Wow, those are some great bulldogs...I mean Buldog. And the two cards of the little boy...I swear I have another card with the same boy on it. Too bad I can't just past him in the comment. I guess I'll have to post him in the next day or two and let you know.
I stopped sending out Christmas cards years ago. Now I send Holiday party invitations instead!I love these ones you've posted. It's an inspiration...Joyful Noel to you and yours.
I adore doing just a few handmade cards. Last year I took dollar bills and embroidered red french knots on Georges' head. Rather my own little commentary on the fact that the $ is so worthless .. . might as well do something amusing with it ! I called this series "Just Send Money" --- http://www.flickr.com/photos/missjjj/3008072447/
Hardly your traditional "card" , but I love your adorable angel cards -
I am terribly old fashioned...I love sending cards (even if I am a wee bit behind on them this year). Little A...you by the way have wonderful taste in cards!
Those bulldogs look ferocious. I have some Christmas postcards with children in a similar style but with different models. Most of mine are made in Germany and have greetings in Swedish.
What a nice collection of vintage Christmas cards. My favorite is the 2 little girls with the 2 angels. The one with the bulldogs looks kind of menacing. Are they mad about something?
What wonderful postcards! I love them. The one of the Christmas play and angels reminds me of what my family used to do for all the relatives and neighbors on Christmas Eve when I was a child!
These are so wonderful, I just had to come back to this and say it! Those bulldogs are feisty - seems they are each pulling for love, luck and longevity, if I get the plant symbols right. Good boys! The French cards are so sweet and more sentimental than I would have thought. Lovely collection! Merry Christmas, Gaye!
G, oh ! a week passes for you to tell me! you are wonderful & I am glad you are reading along with little to add to the mix- I am so happy to know this. my granMa would have picked up on this immediately. I actually have a few old french cards with flower meanings on them- must round them up! Hope you have a beautiful holiday and your daughter has visions of sugarplums dancing along beside her all season long. Gaye

ReplyDeletethe bulldogs are gorgeous...although i'd still be a little wary of one approaching me with mistletoe in his mouth! probably best avoided ;-)
