Friend, you are the kindest soul to reference me. Still, I and all your other readers would love to hear your thoghts on the book. Love today's post, by the way. Want that orange silhouette fabric -- Love Anything with an parasol! Know Truman is technically a Libra, but he's only born a couple days past the cusp and still in September, so I think of him as a Virgo like me. I adore your melding of ideas and references, the way you mesh them together!
Thea, you expressed it so perfectly-truly. I guess my comment reaction to the book is one of utter sadness. Loss, waste. She must have headed in that direction of ultimate destruction early on.How does One cope, and how do one's loved ones ever cope.
Reggie is going to be a bit of a cold water bath here. I do not understand those that take their own lives, except when faced with the prospect of calamitous and degrading illness. I cannot understand how one could be so vulnerable, so the world is too much with me, to believe that suicide is a viable path, particularly when I have personally been confronted with the wretched consequences that those of us who have been left behind must face and live with the rest of our lives because someone we loved decided to take such matters in their own hands. I am not a fan. Reggie
Reggie Darling, Good mental health is speaking for Reggie-I think this is why so many people do not understand how something like that could grasp someone- one must have empathy. I've lost more than enough very close friends and many good friends to last the rest of my lifetime. Though Isabella was on a doomed course- she had been diagnosed with ovarian cancer-so suffering from that calamitous and degrading illness-and along with that one- the still taboo and sadly misunderstood one -mental illness. pgt
