Beautiful face...I could not imagine a life without dogs. You love them unconditionally, mourn their death, swear you will never go through the pain...and start all over again. Recently adopted 2 abused mutts from the pounds and they bring such an amazing energy to our house, from rags to riches as they say...
Those EYES! They just make me melt. I love our dogs forever and always. So glad my parents let me always have animals growing up. They are great companions. Have a great week.
Such penetrating eyes. I think what you are expressing is mostly about these faithful companions but I did want to say that the poem was sad, but not true!
That face; what a gaze! I had to click on the post, just got back from my first water theraphy session with my dog. A long haul ahead of us, but a worthy one indeed! He is worn out! L.
I love that and had to write it down. I do so love my dogs, past and present.

Christina- heavenly really.
ReplyDeleteLe Style-yet for some love it fleeting- and I think in many ways the poem is true. It speaks to me on many levels.
LeMaison Frou-that sounds wonderful-Zetta and I could use the same.
Patricia-only Mark Twain, well said.
Love for a good dog never dies, which is also true for a very few of our human loves...
ReplyDeleteAnd that I shall print out and stick on the wall next to my desk. Thank you.
