What they wore: Dongia & the Bishop

I owe my color sense to crayons. - A. Donghia

 Jacques-Bénigne Bossuet by Hyacinthe Rigaud

  1. apropos of nothing, i saw this book on a blog and thought of you: http://www.designsponge.com/2012/03/women-travelers.html

  2. Rigaud's portraits always had an interesting background in addition to his keen detailing of the clothes.

Donghia often decorated with bright colors, but I am thinking of some more enduring schemes which happen to be neutral. A sign of the times, perhaps. It would have been interesting to see how his interiors work developed, had he not passed too soon.
