  1. I'm not too crazy about patchwork. Perhaps a great quilt, but that about it.

  2. Well; boy do I have something to say about THIS!!

(our daughter started moving in today to her house here; we leave for Boston at the crack of dawn to visit another daughter and our grandson at Andover)

    I HAD to comment!

I think I was in 8th grade? 1960?? When I saw Gloria Vanderbilts amazing creations.......

I became an "instant fan" ; and have remained one! This is one of the great beauties of the "internet"!!

This is a creative woman who has been a beacon and an idol my entire life!
I remember every picture (thank the Lord for the 'photographic memory')
and every view of everywhere she has lived!

She is an absolutely gorgeous.......(looking..omigod) person in every way!

Her friendships with Carol Marcus Matthau; and the divine young wife of Charlie Chaplin...."Oona O'Neill..." is the greatest story I have ever read about female friendship! EVER!!
You must get the book about these three friends!

She is an astonishing, creative, gifted woman.....And on she goes!

What an inspiration! I know not to "feel old" (the kiss of death) She is 90 or something!

If only I could resurrect that patchwork tartan long skirt I wore for our Christmas picture in 1972!!

what a wonderful post! This is the best thing about blogging!!

    XXOO

    Seriously.....I thought I would die there of a heart-attack!

    Penny
