Wrightsman Collection – these volumes of the legendary collection show
the discerning eye of one of the great collectors of the 20th century.
Furniture of Versailles – this two volume set detail the extraordinary designs and craftsmanship of 18th century France----quite mad & wild compared to the tame designs of today!
Alexandre
Serebriakoff – the room renderings of this extraordinary Russian artist
captured interiors in the mid twentieth century----and the lives lived
in them------that are now gone, such as the chateau de Groussay.
The
Wirtz Gardens - a three volume set recording the gardens of Jacques
Wirtz, who I have collaborated with on a few products. The great garden
designer of our time.
JAR
– this rare first edition of his fabled book shows in beautiful photos
the works of Joel Rosenthal-----the Cellini of our time. His use of
color is inspirational.
& for the most exquisite table?
Howard has included some of his beautiful porcelain and linens in the Sale.
I am loving some of these pieces- and though it is hard to pick just one or two, I'm narrowing down my choices. There are wonderful cache pot and votives (some of my favorite pieces in the Sale), and glorious photophores. Howard's new book
