I wouldn't mind if I could only have my old legs back too. And they're playing the Ramones in the grocery store too.
ReplyDeleteWell yes, Tragically, I wore them and never really needed them! Swimmer's shoulders, terrible swimmer. You must see the post EEE did today.G
ReplyDeleteI must admit, I prefer the little 40's take on shoulders. What women did like in this cushion padding was that it balanced out the figure. Of course, there's that Power Woman thing too.
ReplyDeleteStyle- It is odd that the 80's excess fashion silhouette would come back in the recessionist times of today. Power shoulderpads-yes, why I needed them in college? I did -thank goodness take out lots of those hard ones. Yuck. It is scary-trust me- when the style you actually wore is BACK. I have one dress- I should photograph (not wearing it) that is very 40' Joan Crawford -jade green- back derriere center seam. Swagging! to either side seam, Are you still with me?
ReplyDeleteand then in front the fabric ties up to the waist- This part I know Must be hard to visualize. G
I'm with you for the 40's jade green. Sounds great & I would love to see a picture. I do adore clothes! Though I admire greatly those with a signature look (I saw a super glamorous young Chantal Thomass type on vacation, I think it's fun to zap around with different styles. You have to know what suits you but the idea is to have FUN! I take it you've been doing just that for a while.
ReplyDeleteHilarious andso clever.Bravo! et merci.
ReplyDeleteJ-A D-H! merci, and joyeux noel!
