...& in the spirit of style court

.
short on time, wrapping paper- then this is an idea whose time has come-wish I'd thought of that!
this little gem is actually something I'd love to receive for a present. I am always on the look out for unique wrapping papers-and this is the whole package.
(from an old House& Garden, of course)

  1. fantastic idea! and you can stamp the color on too. but would you just cringe watching someone rip your paper from the gift box, mindlessly trip over it after they cast it aside onto the floor, and then stuff, stuff it into the trash can?

  2. Gaye -- that picture is perfect! I may have to borrow it :) Appreciate the mention.

  3. I actually ran out of gift wrap with 2 gifts left! I improvised by using just white tissue paper (rather than buy more paper!) and just made sure I used an extra pretty ribbon. I actually sort of liked the plain white paper better than my candy cane striped paper from papersource!

  4. soodie- I come from a long line of paper savers. Crazy- I would grab it up immediately if I saw it being threatened! My granMa would take off the paper and then hand press it,roll it and store it, Always had something pretty in that workroom of hers!

  6. Stefan, isnt that always the way? definitely improvising can be best. I have seen white paper with a number of red ribbons wrapped around it to make the stripe of a candy cane- maybe next year. G

  7. Mrs Penati had WAY too much time on her hands. Or perhaps I'm just lazy. When I run out of wrapper paper, I turn to old newspapers.

  8. Aesthete-brown paper always handy here. I did make about 100 gift tags this year for a few friends, a client and myself & I could be considered both-a bit too much time on my hands which I can easily wile away and a bit lazy about gearing up.
