  1. But the cut is so much sharper, and the colors more interesting. An iconic image.

  3. M.Chaplin-I do like her and this look what about the "Drop Dead" post dress worn by Sofia Vergara.

  4. I'm echoing balsamfir - the cut is so much cleaner. I'm pretty sure she can do no wrong. Also, pockets. I have a few ball skirts with pockets. Nothing better.

  6. Mrs. Herrera could wear a brown paper sack with twine around the waist and still look stunningly chic!

  11. She is quintessential. How could you ever go wrong-she wears the white blouse like it was ermine. Mrs. B. I love your portrait- that is just my style when I have to dress up- it feels right-and always pockets.

Scott- very possibly. my feeling is though since Tea Leoni missed the mark for some-sacks must be impeccably tailored to pass.

  13. 'Tis true .. .
she could wear a paper sack and
    look elegant.
But, she does have a very special way with the skirt & blouse look.

Wouldn't that skirt make a gorgeous pair of curtains!?

  14. I've always thought of Carolina Hererra as THE quintessential role model for how a mature woman desiring to look elegant should dress. In fact, when I was younger, I remember seeing her and thinking, "THAT is how I would like to look when I'm older." The billowing skirt is fantastic, I wonder if it's possible to track it down?

  15. Truly beautiful.
Everything I know about style I learned from my mom and Carolina Hererra is her absolute favorite.
I've had this idea about posting on the 100 woman who have influenced my style. I'll really have to look in to doing it real soon.
    Warm regards,
    Simone
