why don't you?

.
 seriously-

Revive granma's Victorian settee, or gentleman's chair- & cover it in a bold monumentally scaled floral chintz, here in Quadrille's Henriot Floral.

see how designer Tom Scheerer did it-

  4. I've done this a good bit in projects & it actually turns out to be charming and kind of cool. Who would have ever thought? The key is a large scale whimsical pattern in fun colors just like shown here. Love it. Thanks for sharing.

  7. I love the colors, pictures, and even the fabric, but the only person I can see sitting there is an elderly Anglican vicar with a cup of tea on his lap.

  8. Do we all have an inner grannie? I wonder-

I love the idea of doing this and Gwen-I have too-and definitely large scale bold is the key.

The Ancient- ah yes, the vicar-must have somewhere to amuse him as he speaks of great doctrinal import. As one watches in horror the sloshing of tea in his cup!

  13. Glorious! I wish I had some old Victorian chaise to re-upholster! Just today I looked through my files and marveled over the gorgeous fabric Sigourney
in Jungle Green by China Seas (Quadrille) . Happy, fresh and fabulous!

  14. The China Seas fabric s are all so fresh as you say- I have been working with a couple of them on a project and find them ALL exciting- the scale, color, and they do a lot in the reverse of colors. pgt
