  2. I've always been reluctant to exhibit text on my garments, a hand-drawn T by Terestchenko for the afternoon tide excepted. But there's the unambiguous éclat to consider, of the House of Rochas for the coaxing of beasts in the morning to give their milk at our Petit Trianon. What bridges the gap between these 2 worlds of our humdrum habitation is the screamygorgeous gondolier's T on the rack behind these frocks. I can't tell you how renewing it would feel to slip one of these over one's clavicles, and go out and crush Yale in its own colours.

  3. Little Augury, I'm from Sweden and I've always been fascinated of the paintings with kurbits since I lived in Dalarna twenty years ago but the dress with the paintings was something new, haven't seen it before. Thanks for showing me.

  4. Just saw this great (as always, Little Augury) post! Kurbits is not an easily used decorative device even in modern interiors and sadly hard to do well without looking Vasa Club crafty. This dress by Rochas is so inspiring in showing how revisiting classic patterns and putting them in new context IS a viable and worthy choice.

  5. I loved this dress -of course because of the fabric- it wears well. I could indeed see this on a wing chair or on walls in an interior setting. pgt
