Whatever the uses of a room, it should be a world unto itself.

  1. I like the world depicted in Victoria Throne's photo. It speaks of the past, via the faded needlepoint (or whatever that is), the chipped gilding, and the worn parquet. And yet at the same time it is sunny and still seems livable and attractive.

  3. Edith hasn't seen some of my rooms. I think I'll edit and clean out.

  5. Oh thank you so much for this! I could not put into words what my goal has been my whole life! She said it!

My entire life; honestly, this has been my goal!

Thank you for publishing that quotation!!

I think, (and hope) the rooms in our house, and our gardens, and my client's houses achieve that!!

    Beautiful! Thank you!
