  3. I understand that Daniel Day-Lewis required very little makeup for this part. when he initially demurred playing the part, the director said, "Why don't you take a look in the mirror?"

  4. All things Lincoln for me. I for some reason was obsessed with Mary Todd in my formative years. I can not think of anyone better equipped to play her for madness-and sympathy that the brilliant and unsung Sally Field. pgt
